Ashley and I got an early start and after breakfast, we headed off to Carmel. It was very interesting to see how the other half lives 🙂 Afterward we drove on 17 Mile Drive. (which incidentally cost us $8.50….it is apparently the only toll road west of the Mississippi.) We drove along the cost, and past some famous golf courses including Pebble Beach. Next we had lunch on Cannery Row and watched some surfers. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I highly recommend seeing their new Jelly Fish Exhibit! Now we are going to take a brief nap, and I am eagerly awaiting the start of the conference tomorrow!
