WiFi Comes to Internet Librarian

InfoToday Blog

If you have one of these wifi-finder gadgets, bring it with you, and then keep your fingers crossed! Plans are afoot to provide wifi access in the Monterey Conference Center for Internet Librarian attendees. The location makes this a complex endeavor since the keynotes are in the Marriott (wifi coverage unknown) and three of the four tracks are in ballrooms that are not formally part of the conference center.

Kudos to Information Today, Inc. I wasn’t expecting the inexpensive motel that I am staying in to have WiFi, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my laptop last night. There was a login and password requested. I phoned the front desk and they printed one up for me. It only lasts for three days, so I will need to go get another one on Wednesday, but hey, it’s free!
